eat:Portishead Food and Drink Festival Returns

The very best locally produced food and drink from the South West of England will be showcased when a popular festival returns to Portishead Marina on Saturday 8th August, with social distancing measures in place.

Now in its third year, eat:Portishead is a free all-day event which will be attended by more than 60 food and drink producers from around the South West. The stalls will have a wide variety of goods including favourites like ales, bread and cheese, alongside top-quality street food.

An organiser said, ‘We are pleased to be working here again - creating a great free day out for the whole family. We have attracted some excellent food and drink producers, and we hope visitors will be interested in the stories behind the produce. We will be providing additional hand sanitiser facilities, a new layout with more room, and are taking on board the latest government recommendations.’

The event is fully accessible, and there are plenty of gluten-free, vegan, vegetarian and dairy-free options, as well as smaller portions on offer. The festival is also single-use plastic-free, and all food-to-go packaging is fully compostable.

The festival will open at 10 am and run until 4 pm. Find out more at the festival Facebook page or website www.eatfestivals.org/.
