Balnafettach Farm

A family-run farm situated just outside Cromdale within the Cairngorms National Park, the Cassells farm one of Scotlands oldest native breeds, pure Highland Cattle, and a small flock of sheep - a mixture of pure Jacobs and Texel X. They also have free-roaming chickens, and occasionally rear rare breed pigs from weaners, which they turn into bacon themselves using traditional methods. Working recently with an on-farm butcher, they offer seasonal wild game, shot on the farm and locally, as well as mutton. Pearce's Farm Shop

The Pearce family have farmed in the Puckeridge area for 45 years and we now have two generations –David, Andrew and Ed, working on the farm which is a hive of activity all year round. We have a mixed farm of arable, horticultural and traditional breeds of cattle that can often be seen roaming in the fields by the Shop and Café. The cattle are grass fed during the spring, summer and autumn months and during the colder winter months are kept in a warm barn and fed on farm grown hay.

New House Farm Shop and Tea Room is located in a 16th Century Sussex barn which has been renovated to the highest possible standard. The shop sells locally sourced products including fresh fruit and veg, fresh bread, meat, wine, cider and ale, cheese/deli, store cupboard essentials, ready meals, ice cream and local crafts. In the tea room you can choose from locally baked cakes and cupcakes, sandwiches, breakfasts and Ploughman’s and of course a range of teas coffees, chocolate and soft drinks. In June and July you can pick our famous strawberries and raspberries.
