The Balloon Tree Farmshop and Cafe
We are a family run, high quality food retailer. The Machin family has seen the site grow, from the original wooden hut with a table on the side of the road, to the fully fledged farm shop that opened in April 2004. The Balloon Tree takes its name from an ancient horse chestnut tree that stood at the Buttercrambe turning, down the road. We have enjoyed a successful run of awards to date, thanks to a great team and amazing customers!

Hill Farm
Hill Farm PYO has been established for over 40 years. The first crop grown in the early 1970's was sweet corn. Before this, the farm had been a traditional mixed arable and livestock farm, growing wheat ,barley and sugar beet, along with around 50 beef cattle. Paddy's parents, John and Jill, we're first generation farmers and moved to Hill Farm in 1962. It was their foresight that created the opportunity to market farm produce directly to the public, and even let them pick it themselves.

Seldom Seen Farm
Living in the glorious Leicestershire countryside, Robert and Claire Symington have been farming here for over 40 years. We produce free-range geese, bronze turkeys and our celebrated three-bird-roast. During December our farm shop is open for a wide range of festive fare and home baking.
