We would like to extend our warmest welcome to our home, 10 miles north of Oban in the beautiful county of Argyll on the West Coast of Scotland. Balliefurth Farm Shop, previously SG Mustards, is a long established butcher shop that dates back to 1948. Jamie Barnett manages the shop with help from previous owner, Michael Mustard. Most of the meat is supplied from Balliefurth Farm located a few miles away..
Using our own traditionally reared beef, fresh vegetables and other local products our kitchen is always busy and filled with the smells of homemade raspberry jam, steak pies and a variety of burgers. However it is not only our own produce that makes our selection so delicious.
Our family has farmed in Northumberland for generations and if we don’t produce it ourselves we always know somebody local who does. The farm produces the very best beef, pork and lamb for our butchery – we are very proud of our reputation for quality, range and value.
The Blacketyside Farm Shop is open six days a week and offers a wide selection of local produce and gifts.
We are a family farm producing organic eggs and potatoes. We gained Soil Association certification in 2001.
Tuppenny Barn is a wonderful community project promoting sustainable working practices by teaching people how organically grown produce works in harmony with nature.

Broom House is a windy spot at 750 feet, with fabulous views over the surrounding countryside, when the weather allows! The farm house is on the top of the hill, but the farmland itself rolls down the valley to the River Browney. Broom House is a livestock farm - although some arable crops such as oats and barley are grown, as well as forage crops like turnips and kale - with the aim of producing as much of our own feed for the animals as possible.
