In our farm shop we are passionate about selling fresh, local and seasonal produce. We grow asparagus and fuit on the farm, everything else we try to buy as locally as possible to support other local producers when its in season. We stock a wide range of fairtrade and organic products, including kitchen & bathroom essentials. And we also make our own ice-cream on the farm, which we produce under the name Alder tree. Made on site using simply fruit, cream and sugar it is (we believe) the best ice-cream there is!

After years of flogging berries from a table and a tent, we took the step to open our little farm shop in the summer of 2014. And it's 'wee' for a reason - we have no ambition to be the biggest farm shop around; we'd rather focus on trying to become the best. That starts with producing the most mouthwatering berries and tasty free range eggs and extends to choosing only the best local produce to help stock our apple-crate shelves.

A family-run farm situated just outside Cromdale within the Cairngorms National Park, the Cassells farm one of Scotlands oldest native breeds, pure Highland Cattle, and a small flock of sheep - a mixture of pure Jacobs and Texel X. They also have free-roaming chickens, and occasionally rear rare breed pigs from weaners, which they turn into bacon themselves using traditional methods. Working recently with an on-farm butcher, they offer seasonal wild game, shot on the farm and locally, as well as mutton. Order via a downloadable form from their website - boxes offer a 15% discount on individual prices, or visit the farm shop.

The shop also offers more to fill your basket – all that you need to take home for a delicious lunch or supper and of course breakfast! Our farming heritage goes back 3 generations and we pride ourselves in providing locally grown quality fruit, vegetables and most of all our “Home Grown Potatoes”, the varieties that we grow are Maris Piper, Picasso (Our most Popular) & Mozart for the red variety. These are grown, graded and bagged on our own farm on the outskirts of Long Sutton.
