We are a family run farm and have had the business through the generations for over 90 years.
All of our produce is home grown and we aim to ensure that everything we sell meets our own high standards. We are a close knit family and all the work is done by members of the extended family.

In 1997, Adrian Halstead, always a keen allotment gardener, took a leap of faith and bought the nursery in rural Barcombe, four miles west of Lewes and twelve miles north of Brighton. He began the conversion to organic status under the auspices of the Soil Association with the idea of starting a local vegetable box scheme.

For example, we have British heritage tomatoes, raspberries, and strawberries during the summer, and Jerusalem artichokes, kale, and dirty carrots in winter. All the Beef and Pork at Savin Hill is expertly cut by a craftsman butcher in our specially built premises. Paul, the butcher at Savin Hill has over 20 years experience of cutting meat. He also has a great deal of expertise in the area of charcuterie, with which we have developed some new products using our Saddleback Pork and pork from other British pigs. Look out for them in some specialist food outlets.
