Townings Farm is a traditional Low Weald family farm situated in the heart of the Sussex countryside, on the edge of the beautiful South Downs National Park between the villages of Chailey, Plumpton, and Wivelsfield Green.

Using our own traditionally reared beef, fresh vegetables and other local products our kitchen is always busy and filled with the smells of homemade raspberry jam, steak pies and a variety of burgers. However it is not only our own produce that makes our selection so delicious.

New House Farm Shop and Tea Room is located in a 16th Century Sussex barn which has been renovated to the highest possible standard. The shop sells locally sourced products including fresh fruit and veg, fresh bread, meat, wine, cider and ale, cheese/deli, store cupboard essentials, ready meals, ice cream and local crafts. In the tea room you can choose from locally baked cakes and cupcakes, sandwiches, breakfasts and Ploughman’s and of course a range of teas coffees, chocolate and soft drinks. The Shop was created by converting Victorian potting sheds and constructing two new buildings which became the Farm Shop and the Coffee Shop. The shop opened in 2001 as an outlet to sell locally sourced goods and produce from the Royal Estates and The Great Park.

Our animals are raised to the highest organic welfare standards and are very, very free range.
