Chatsworth Estate Farm Shop now makes up to 1,000 home deliveries a week.

A farm shop in Derbyshire has launched a home delivery service to help those who are elderly, vulnerable or ill with the coronavirus. Chatsworth Estate Farm Shop which has a capacity for up to 75 deliveries a day can now help around 140 customers per day, nearly 1000 a week to receive goods.

A dedicated delivery and collection operation have been set up with telephone and till operators, payment processors, pickers and drivers operating throughout the week. The shop has had its stock supplemented by local fruit and vegetable suppliers, fishmongers, bakery and even Ice Cream supplier. These companies have also assisted with additional vans for deliveries.

Chatsworth Estate Farm Shop is still open as usual but has implemented a range of measures to ensure that customers can shop safely including hand washing stations outside the shop entrance, clear social distancing guidelines and contactless payment to avoid using cash where possible.
