Like us, you’re probably constantly frustrated by the lack of great quality breads available in the shops. You may be one of the fortunate few and have a good traditional local village bakery, but if not, your choice of great quality bread is likely to be very limited.
The Bakehouse at 124 is part of a fast-growing artisan food revival - bringing treats for the taste buds and an eating experience of a kind that modern production methods fail to match. For us, it means serving breads and baked goods that we turn out fresh every day in small batches. For you, it means a chance to savour the naturally great flavour of simply produced foods.
Since 2001 we bake award-winning organic bread right here on the premises. We even mill our own fresh flour from ancient grains like quinoa, buckwheat, rice etc. which, by nature, do not contain any gluten. We use traditional overnight fermentation, not gums and chemicals. Our bakery is powered by 100% renewable energy! It doesn't get much better than this! Order some today and we will bake it fresh for you and send it out the same day.
We are a third-generation, family bakery based in Southborough, Kent. We bake a large selection of traditional and speciality breads including rye, spelt, herb, tomato and our own Rusty, as well as rolls, pasties, buns and cakes.
