We have been dedicated to growing organic vegetables for nearly 30 years (Soil Association registered) & run a produce market every Thursday from 11am - 6.30pm (all year) & Saturday 10am-2pm (closed August) in our barn. Please check here for any other Saturdays when we might be closed due to private events at the farm.

The farm shop was started in 1965 and remains true to its roots as a proper farm shop. We love to champion amazing local producers alongside our homegrown heritage produce. We have bread from two local bakeries, Davies Bakery and Way Bakery, available daily; these pair beautifully with our huge selection of local and national cheeses. Phantassie is based on the edge of East Linton in rural East Lothian, just 25 miles from Edinburgh. The original growing area, a one acre walled garden, is a sheltered patch which has been in use for over 150 years. Gradually we’ve also cultivated another 7 acres. Our large unheated polytunnels enable us to extend the growing seasons and provide a variety of vegetables all year round. We supplement our produce with veg from other local Organic Growers, as well as England and Europe with a cornucopia of Fruit, always as local as possible, never airfreighted and FAIRTRADE if applicable.

Grow Wild was established in 1998 and has grown from a very small operation (run from a spare room in an Edinburgh flat), to a company with a great bunch of employees, and delivering to customers throughout central Scotland, and now growing their own produce and making our their own preserves. Grow Wild is owned by Lindsay Girvan who was brought up on fantastic home-cooked real food and healthy whole foods. Good natural food, a love of great tasting ingredients, a concern for environmental issues, and a desire to offer a service that she herself would want to use led to the establishment of Grow Wild.
