Visiting Ripley Farmers' Market is the perfect way to purchase fresh, local goods direct from their growers and producers. The market consists of a wide array of seasonal farmed or produced goods as well as other items such as speciality foods, crafts and locally grown plants. We have over 35 stalls at each market so plenty of choice for all.
The Edinburgh Farmers’ Market takes place on Castle Terrace under the spectacular backdrop of Edinburgh Castle. Listed by Lloyd Grossman as one of the World’s Best Farmers’ Markets and now in its 18th year, we have a huge variety of fresh local produce from over 35 specialist producers. The majority of stallholders grow or rear what they sell.
This friendly market is located by the Glen Gates and is organised by the Fife Farmers’ Market Co-Operative. Up to 20 local producers set up their stalls to offer quality beef, lamb, pork vegetables and home-baking. For the adventurous there is wild boar and water buffalo on offer. The sweet-toothed visitor should head for Hilary’s famous meringues!
