This is one of the most atmospheric markets in Scotland. Cooking demonstrations, free tastings and live music all add to the enjoyment of this busy market with up to twenty five stall-holders. Produce comes from artisan farms that concentrate on quality, tradition and flavour, such as Jock’s Tattie Shed, Ballencrieff Pedigree Pigs, Monarch Deer Farm and Scots Cheer Fruit Liqueurs. Just half an hour’s drive from Edinburgh and a trip to the market would be an added treat to a day out in East Lothian.
The Farmers' Market is held on the third Saturday of every month, in the Memorial Hall in Brough (Brough-under-Stainmore to give it it's full name), Cumbria. It is almost unique among Farmers' markets in that it is entirely under cover and thus protected from the weather, though there may be extra stalls outside including our vegetable seller who actually prefers to be outside.
Stalls staffed by the local producers usually include lamb, beef, rare breed pork, chicken, eggs, jams & preserves, Suffolk cheeses, freshly-ground coffee, chocolate, very local vegetables, mushrooms, honey, stone-ground flour, apples and apple juices, authentic home-made curries, breads and cakes, including cupcakes, outdoor plants in season, plus a handful of local craft items.
Farmers Market produces includes local beef, pork, lamb, Lancashire haggis, black puddings, cheeses, pies, flowers, fruit and veg, homemade chocolates, wine, cakes and much more. All undercover and free parking.

Following a successful partnership last year, we are pleased to confirm that we are once again teaming up with the Northern Dales Farmers’ Market. They will be bringing more than 30 handpicked local food producers to the Spence Courtyard in the museum.
The Farmers market is held once a month , (see when in sidebar), in the main street of West Malling. It has been going since the Romans appeared to be sold organic woad to, and now hosts a great array of farm produced meats, fruit, vegetables and cheeses, as well as artisan made breads, cakes, and extremely tasty designer stuff.
nder the gaze of Mozart’s statue on leafy Orange (or Mozart) Square, Pimlico is a lovely location for a farmers' market. Plenty of space to sit and soak in the atmosphere before buying apples and juice, fresh pasta, free range eggs, meat & poultry, seasonal game, day boat fish and shellfish, artisan bread & cheeses, and seasonal specials from asparagus to cherries.
