Balnafettach Farm
A family-run farm situated just outside Cromdale within the Cairngorms National Park, the Cassells farm one of Scotlands oldest native breeds, pure Highland Cattle, and a small flock of sheep - a mixture of pure Jacobs and Texel X. They also have free-roaming chickens, and occasionally rear rare breed pigs from weaners, which they turn into bacon themselves using traditional methods. Working recently with an on-farm butcher, they offer seasonal wild game, shot on the farm and locally, as well as mutton. On the farm we sell a terrific range of farm produced beef from our Hereford and Dexter herds. All the cuts you would find in any good supermarket and butchers, with the benefit of being direct from the farm and knowing how well the herds are maintained and cared for.
