Hambleton Bakery

In September 2008, Julian Carter and Tim Hart opened Hambleton Bakery, to produce top quality traditionally made bread for Hambleton Hall and Harts in Nottingham, and added a little shop at the front, almost as an afterthought; 10 years on, with a growing list of wholesale customers, Hambleton Bakery now has shops in Oakham, Market Harborough, West Bridgford, Stamford and Oundle.

The Balloon Tree Farmshop and Cafe

We are a family run, high quality food retailer. The Machin family has seen the site grow, from the original wooden hut with a table on the side of the road, to the fully fledged farm shop that opened in April 2004. The Balloon Tree takes its name from an ancient horse chestnut tree that stood at the Buttercrambe turning, down the road. We have enjoyed a successful run of awards to date, thanks to a great team and amazing customers!

The Crazy Bear Farm and Farm Shop were originally created for our restaurants - for our chefs, butchers and farmer to work together to develop specialist produce with absolute traceability. We have complete control over the environment in which our animals live, we choose exactly the right time for slaughter, we hang meats in our own butchery to peak maturity, and cut to precise specifications. We cook all our own meat for pies, pasties and savouries – all sourced from the local butcher or direct from the abattoir. Our famous Lincolnshire Plumbread is available across the county and also available by mail order. We can post worldwide if required.
