Hexham Farmers Market is a long established market in the heart of the historic town of Hexham in Northumberland. Our producers come from within a 50 mile range of the town and they are all passionate about what they do. They make the products themselves using a high percentage of locally produced ingredients, so the meat you buy at Hexham Farmers’ Market is reared by the producer and the vegetables are locally grown. We have about 25 producers who come to the market on a regular basis.

Elgin Farmers Market is held on the ‘plain-stones’ in the centre of Elgin. The market has a good selection of local vegetables and fruit, locally produced cheeses and Aberdeen Angus meat as well as bread and home-bakes. One stall that’s easy to find is The Really Garlicky Company, the first growers of hardneck porcelain garlic in Scotland. who offer Really Garlicky Bread, Butter, Cream Cheese and Oatcakes. An added treat at this market is the music from the Cnoc Cuill Ceilidh Band (who collect for the Highland Hospice) which plays from 12-2pm.

This is a big farmers’ market is located in County Square, next to Gilmour Street station, so just ten minutes by train from Glasgow’s Central Station. Now running twice a month, and recognised by BBC Good Food Magazine as one of the best in the UK, the market brings together up to thirty producers offering specialities such as Ayrshire hill lamb, Limousin steaks and West Coast seafood. Cookery demonstrations by leading chefs such as Nick Nairn are a regular feature.
